About Richard
I am the Line Underwriter for the Political Violence team based here in London. We write all major coverages within the market including stand alone Terror and Sabotage, Political Violence, Terrorism Liabilities, NCBR, CEND, Malicious Attack (Active Shooter), Cartel and Threat. Our clients come from all industry types and are spread across the globe. I joined the Political Violence team at Hiscox as a trainee underwriter in 2008. I took over management of the team in 2015. I have worked in the insurance industry for 13 years. I started out life as an aviation broker at AON before moving to Hiscox in 2008. My day to day role involves underwriting of our major renewals and higher risk business, portfolio exposure management, reinsurance programme management and purchase, planning of book strategy, broker relationship management and team management.
Outside of work I like to travel (who doesn’t), exercise (predominantly boxing and running) and am otherwise kept busy chasing after our two young sons.
