About Lara
I’m the Line Underwriter for US General Liability. Our team writes Fortune 1,000 US domiciled risks, Passenger and Freight railways, Construction, Trucking and Primary General Liability for tough to place products. I joined Hiscox in March 2019 as a Senior General Liability Underwriter and in March 2021 stepped up to manage the General Liability team and portfolio. I have worked in the insurance / reinsurance industry since 2003. My job entails managing one of the leading US General Liability portfolios in Lloyd’s. This comprises setting the strategy, underwriting some of the most challenging and/or complex risks and exposures and managing the portfolio and a team of underwriters.
I love spending time in nature, in particular when this involves water. Love coastal walks and am passionate about sailing. On rainy days, love watching movies, reading (generally autobiographies which involve sports or adventures), and being creative (love playing with interior design mood boards and painting).
