About Michele
I am the Space Deputy Line Underwriter within Hiscox London Market. I joined Hiscox in 2014 and before that I spent 14 years in the Aerospace Industry, mainly as a Rocket Engineer with various technical and programme management responsibilities. My present role consists in underwriting almost all sort of Space Risks but Prelaunch risks as well, enveloping the whole Satellites and Launch Vehicle lifecycles. My job needs a good mix of technical, business and legal understanding, it gives the opportunity to contribute to innovative Space Ventures and allows to build relationships with worldwide Brokers and Space Industry leaders. I hold a MSc in Mechanical Engineering from University of Pisa (Italy), an Executive MBA from the IAE Sorbonne Business School of Paris (France) and the CII Diploma in Insurance (UK). I speak English, French and Italian.
