About Erin
I am the Interim Divisional Director for our London Market Casualty business, which includes big-ticket US General Liability, Cyber and Directors’ and Officers’.
I have been at Hiscox for fifteen years which covers my whole insurance career! I started on the graduate scheme as a Trainee Pricing Actuary within London Market. After four years, I wanted to broaden my experience so I moved to the Capital team, where I became the Group Capital Manager. After three years there, I had the opportunity to do a one-year secondment as the CFO for Special Risks, which was a maternity cover. At the end of that, I came back to London Market as the Head of Pricing for the Casualty division, which I did for five years. I was keen to get some exposure to underwriting, so in 2024, I moved to be a Senior Underwriter for Alternative Risk. This involved selecting the best coverholders to underwrite on our behalf for a broad range of product classes, particularly new and emerging areas. After two years, I recently came back to Casualty as the Interim Divisional Director.
I am a Fellow of the Institute and Faculty of Actuaries and I currently volunteer for their Claims Inflation Working Party. I also previously led the Women at Hiscox employee network.
