About James
I am the Line Underwriter for the Major Property team at Hiscox, where I manage and develop a diverse global portfolio with a strong focus on the US market. My role involves close collaboration with both internal stakeholders and external brokers and clients. I began my insurance career in 2008 at Catlin Syndicate 2003 (now part of AXA XL), progressing to Class Underwriter in 2014 and later becoming Underwriting Manager for the North American Property team in 2019. After 17 years with the company, I joined Hiscox in June 2025. Throughout my career, I have remained dedicated to the Property sector and currently serve on the LMA Worldwide Property Panel, where I’ve been an active committee member for several years.
