I am the Line Underwriter for Space Insurance for Hiscox London Market. I joined Hiscox in 2001 as a Space Technical Analyst. Prior to that, I had worked in the System Engineering team of a large spacecrafts manufacturer. Space underwriting requires a deep understanding of the how the space industry works and a comprehensive view of the insurance chain as we buy our own reinsurance and underwrite for other syndicates. I am also a Director of Hiscox MGA ltd and Hiscox Assure SAS, as we operate as a Hiscox owned cover holder. During my long Hiscox career, I have also been underwriting Aviation products liability and Political risks. I hold 2 Masters of Science in Engineering and Electrical Engineering and an Insurance MBA. I am currently Chairman of the Space Risks Study Group of the International Union of Aerospace Insurers , member of Lloyd’s Market Association Space committee, and member of the board of Paris International Underwriters Association.
