About Katie
Katie is a Marine, Energy and Specialty Claims Manager, responsible for the leadership and management of the team. She works closely with underwriting and other stakeholders, as well as handling complex marine and energy losses. Katie joined Hiscox in 2021 and prior to that, worked within the legal team of another Lloyd’s syndicate, advising on claims and underwriting matters, policy wordings and broader business issues. Through this role, Katie developed a keen interest in claims, which she found to be the most diverse and technically complex area of the business. She transferred to claims adjusting full time in 2016, specialising in marine, energy and crisis management lines, and brings a strong legal and commercial perspective to complex matters.
Katie qualified as a solicitor in 2012, having trained at a leading London insurance law firm.
