About Bill
I am a Claims Underwriter for Marine, Energy and Specialty. I am in my second month of a 12 month contract at Hiscox working within the Marine and Energy claims team. I was a Claims Broker for the first 30 years of my career focusing primarily on marine hull and all associated liability exposures. I then changed course and became an underwriters TPA for 14 years handling claims portfolios of marine related classes for various underwriters in the London market. That role included negotiating settlement of claims, carrying out overseas claims audits for underwriters, travelling for client liaison, and attending mediations as underwriters representative when required. As part of the M&E claims team, I am handling claims across the marine spectrum including hull and machinery and marine liabilities primarily which includes Ports and Terminals, and Shiprepairers Legal Liability exposure.
Precious time with the family is always high on the agenda. We enjoy London all year round with it’s fabulous walks and green spaces!
