About Francesca
I am an Underwriter in the Fine Art and Specie team. My first day at Hiscox was the day lockdown was announced in the UK - March 2020. I started as an Underwriting Assistant for the 606 team based in Maidenhead. In the summer of 2021, I moved roles to be an Underwriting Assistant in London Market supporting Fine Art and Specie, Contingency and Marine classes. In the Summer of 2022, I was given my Underwriting Authority within the Fine Art and Specie Class. Prior to starting work in insurance in 2020, I studied History of Art at the University of York. I now underwrite insurance for many private collectors, museums, galleries, auction houses and art dealers. This business is written through Lloyd’s, which means I am able to see risks from all over the world.
I love playing tennis both competitively through the Lloyd’s tennis club and also more casually with family and friends. I am also passionate about cooking, I enjoy trying out new and exciting recipes, often based on things I have eaten in restaurants.
