About Louis
I’ve been with Hiscox for a while now, starting in 2010, in a technician role in the Group Reinsurance Purchasing team. In 2011 I moved over to the Marine Division where I worked as an analyst, managing aggregates and analysing catastrophe exposures. I began underwriting the Upstream Energy account in 2013 and have been ever since. The account itself has evolved a lot over time, originally predominantly comprising the oil and gas offshore exploration world, but more recently expanding into more onshore business and broader elements of the industry. I’ve particularly enjoyed building the open market offshore renewable business in recent years.
Outside of work, I’m a very proud father and husband, travelling enthusiast, keen cyclist, skier and a terrible golfer. And painfully an Arsenal fan.
