About Tom
I joined Hiscox in February 2020 to manage the direct US wholesale property book, before transferring to the Global D&F Property and Energy team in November 2021. Previously, I spent seven years in Singapore, initially for Chubb – leading their property & casualty portfolios across South East Asia – and more recently for Tokio Marine Kiln. At Kiln, I wrote property, power and onshore energy for the Asia Pacific region and was chairman of the Lloyds Asia Development Group for this line of business. I started my insurance career on the Zurich graduate scheme in 2004 after a three year stint at the UK’s largest ad agency Abbott Mead Vickers.
Outside of work I’m kept busy by my two young sons and supporting Sunderland AFC, which has been character building.
