Hiscox data shows how the distribution of US flood insurance claims is no longer confined to the traditional hurricane season, while inland areas where flood events have historically been less common, are also becoming more vulnerable. These changes mean more needs to be done by the insurance industry to help those at risk better manage the possibility of falling victim to a flooding event.
