About Julio
I joined Hiscox as a trainee Personal Accident underwriter in 2012 after leaving the University of Southampton where I studied Economics. Soon after I joined, I moved into the Kidnap and Ransom team where I underwrote both Marine and Non-Marine K&R as well as Security Incident Response (SIR) for a number of years for Syndicate 33. In 2019 I had the opportunity to relocate to Madrid where I was responsible for the local Special Risks underwriting teams across Spain, France and Germany, underwriting on behalf of Hiscox SA, our newly created European insurance company. I came back to the Crisis Management team in London Market at the start of 2021 where I am a Senior Underwriter in the Kidnap and Ransom team.
