About James
I am the Line Underwriter for Marine, Energy and Liability. I’ve worked as an Underwriter within the Marine and Energy Liability team at Hiscox since joining the company in August 2021. Prior to this I worked for 6 years within the Energy Liability team at XL Catlin/AXA XL - having started my London market career on Catlin’s original apprenticeship scheme. Our broad product offering means I get to enjoy engaging with a wide array of clients and brokers from across the marine and energy sector, on both a direct and reinsurance basis. I take pride in utilising our Lloyd’s security to deliver long standing (re)insurance solutions at a time when liability exposures are rapidly developing.
Outside of work I’m a qualified football coach, enjoy watching motorsport and exploring the World, both near and far.
